Spotlight: Wiesmann Spyder Concept
German luxury car builder Wiesmann unveiled the Spyder, a roadster concept, during the Geneva Motor Show. We now put the lightweight creation on spotlight for Wiesmann car lovers out there.
The Wiesmann Spyder hits the scales at only 2,769 pounds or barely hitting the 1,000 kilogram mark. The Wiesmann concept roadser can blast from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in under 4 seconds and reach a top speed of 290 kph. It can achieve all these because of the powerful monster V8 4.0L powerplant that gives out 420 horsepower.
The full specs of the engine was not released by Wiesmann but the engine might be similar or the same to the 8 cylinder heart that is under the hood of the BMW M3.
According to Wiesmann, the Spyder Concept is so far the most extreme vehicle that they designed and built so far. It looks like the Spyder is built for a speedy joy ride but you need a helmet since there is no windscreen and no doors as well.
