Henier Meyer bronze sculpture of Weismann Roadster MF3

When you first think about it, what do sports cars and art have in common? Very little, you might say. But after looking at the Wiesmann Art Edition, you’ll be able to realize how strong the link between sports cars and art is, especially that the artist, Heiner Meyer, has succeeded in showing just that.

Since 1970s, Heiner Meyer is known for being one of the established pop art sculptor and artist of our time with paintings shown in Barcelona, Frankfurt and Miami.

Weismann is a German company that produces puristic sports cars. Weismann and Meyer came to work together through interior designer Anke Anstoetz, who also happens to be a businessman. And the rest as they say is history.

The latest Meyer masterpiece is a magnificent Weismann Roadster MF3 sculpture in bronze. Despite the miniature size, it’s amazing how the pop artist captured every piece of detail on the original sports car like the license plate holder, the shape of the car, and the mirrors.

Selected guests and sports car and art enthusiasts were able to view the bronze sculpture during the special event held on May 13, 2011at the Transparent Factory. Epicurean delights were enjoyed by the socializing crowd. Art and automobile topics were also discussed but the highlight of the event was the unveiling of the Weismann Roadster MF3 bronze sculpture by Heiner Meyer himself. The prized work of art is 64 mm x 100 mm x 212 mm in size and weighs about 5kg.
